Mariposa Symphony Orchestra plays at the
Ahwahnee Hotel in Yosemite National Park!
Wow! What a grand treat yesterday in Yosemite as Les Marsden led the Mariposa Symphony Orchestra with Lewis Wong in a concert at the Ahwahnee Hotel. Over two hundred and fifty Mariposa County residents and curious tourists filled the seats and overflowed into the upper balconies to listen and watch a musical experience. One of the highlights of the concert was Mr. Wong as the 'The Lark Ascending' was played. This would be fabulous as a yearly event. A big tip of the hat to DNC and Les Marsden (with a lot of helpers) for making this event happen. Also a big tip of the hat to the Mariposa Symphony Orchestra musicians for making the trek to Yosemite for the day.
