Springtime in Mariposa! <BR>As the Poppies in the Merced River Canyon fade away to just memories the higher elevations of the county are just getting their season of these gifts from nature. They seem to be a different type of Poppy as they are larger than the ones in the canyon. This photo from Shirley and Richard R. of Mariposa also includes some of the Lavender that grows in the area along with their natural Mariposa County landscape of granite. <BR>Thanks for the photo Shirley.
