Last Tuesday afternoon in Coulterville, California the
springtime clouds were floating lazily over downtown Coulterville. There is a movement afoot about re-naming Highway 132 the 'John Muir Highway' as this is the route John Muir (closely walked) along with sheep as he spent a summer in the Yosemite high country helping out a sheepherder.
Right now a young man is retracing the route John Muir walked. He spent last Tuesday evening in Coulterville and then the next night was in Greeley Hill where he stayed at Greeley Hill resident Ken Pulvino's ranch.
