Fighting the Big Meadow Fire in Yosemite National Park <BR> <BR>Multiple helicopters were very busy yesterday as the Big Meadow Fire continues to grow. The helicopters were picking up water out of the Merced River inside the park near the 140 and 120 Junction and outside the park near El Portal. <BR> <BR>The above photo was taken near Turtleback Dome on Highway 41 looking across the Merced River above Highway 140 as the fire makes it's way over the ridgeline. <BR> <BR>Leaving the park smoke was coming down into the area near the Cascades.

The above photo was taken near Turtleback Dome on Highway 41 looking across the Merced River above Highway 140 as the fire makes it's way over the ridgeline.

Leaving the park smoke was coming down into the area near the Cascades.
