Windblown Yellow Flowers,Mariposa Photos,Mariposa 2005

Yesterday was a gray an overcast day with a threat of rain.
While out crystal hunting at about 2500 ft. elevation at the top of a
wind blown ridge, these hardy yellow flowers stood out on a dreary day.
As the leaves wither and die, a pattern forms leaving only an outline
of the former leaf.

Remember the Calaveras Gem And Mineral Society Show this weekend at the Angels Camp Fairgrounds.
What else better to do on a rainy weekend than to be at a gem show if it's to rainy to dig your own gems and crystals?
