After packing our pockets with gold nuggets yesterday, we are going back today to a spot over on Mariposa Creek that is just loaded with gold. |

I find gold panning is like fishing, everyone has a story about that big nugget (fish). In fact if you do not get any nuggets you can still go home with gold by just stopping in the Mariposa Gem and Mineral Club shop and buy some to take home!! |

you need a wildflower identification book! just saying "blue flowers" doesn't get it! and just where did you go to pack your pockets with gold nuggets? and if you're going to plug the gem & mineral club, you ought to tell where it is and give a phone number. see you in a couple of hours in hornitos. |

I keep waiting for my astute wildflower experts to message me or e-mail me on the flower types. Guess I will have to order a book from Amazon.Wonder what is the best one to buy? I think they are nuggets, they are big and round kind of like rocks. Okay, just call 966-4367 (GEMS) to talk to one of the friendly workers on staff for any info on the club or the store, the store is located at 4994 7th street in Mariposa, just up the street from Sierra Stationary.More on the gem cub and store later. |
