What a fantastic year for Lupine! It is all over Mariposa County. If you drive by a lot of it, slow down, roll the window down(they should be down anyway) and take a long deep breath of the smell of fresh Lupine. Get in the car and go for a ride, take some photos, e-mail me a good one and I may use it for photo of the day giving you all the credit, thus making you rich and famous.
Well maybe not rich !! |

this is a great year for wildflowers in general, and the lupine is indeed spectacular. i haven't been out to see the poppies - every year, we throw seed out, and finally, this year, we have ONE poppy. i think we have deer, but the grass is so high i can't see them! |
