The High Sierra North Of Yosemite From The Rim Of The World Lookout,Mariposa Photos,Mariposa 2005

A view from the 'Rim of the World' lookout on Highway
120 a few miles north of Yosemite yesterday,
shows the re-growth of the forest from the Stanislaus
Complex Fire of 1987 that burned over 15,000 acres.
In the background, the High Sierra, North of Yosemite
can be seen.

Morning Grizzy, thought you would be at the Coulterville Coyote Howl yesterday, teaching me how to howl, but did not see you there. A lot of good howlers were there showing off there skills. Quite a few people were milling around listening to the howlers or the band (which was also very good). People were looking at the craft booths, eating and drinking and staying under control.Maybe next year I will get up and give the coyote howl a whirl. But I wish it did not cost money to get up there and have fun.

beautiful picture, jerry. it's amazing how nature can take care of a disaster like a fire, and that every once in a while a fire is absolutely necessary!

no, i didn't go to the coyote howl. i've been many times, and i always enjoyed going, but this year i worked in the yard.

you mentioned "money." what's that?
