A View Inside The Diltz Mine,Mariposa Photos, Mariposa 2005

This photo from deep within the mine shows the
quartz lined walls of the tunnel. No, the brown - gold
colored material is not gold, it is either just dirt or iron
stained quartz. But who knows what could be in that loose
material that is waiting to be taken out of the tunnel !

jerry, do you know who owns the diltz mine now? or do you know anything about it? was there any mention made of investing in it?

that's a great photo! it could almost make you believe the brown stuff is gold.
