Riding up Highway 108, there are a lot of side trips one can make to see different things. Some are 8- 12 miles off road on forest trails. Stop at the ranger station at the Dardenelles for lots of good information on those back road adventures, although right now the ground is still a little to wet for some of that back road stuff.There was quite a bit of volcanic activity in the area, a long time ago, leading to some of the sites to see. one of the oldest Juniper trees is also along this highway. Stay with the Goldrushcam as we make more trips to the area to see what treasures we can find. |

sure, jerry, someone buried gold and then went down and killed the tree to point to it, so he wouldn't forget where it was. you're getting spooky in your old age! but keep it up. i think it's fun and i enjoy your pictures and comments.
