Clouds Rest And Half Dome In Yosemite,Yosemite Photos,Yosemite 2005

While the photo from yesterday was looking East
from this vantage point above Olmsted Point, rotating
the camera generally to the South, Half Dome
and Clouds Rest stand silent and proud.

The trees that live up at this elevation are hardy trees that can stand the brutal winters of cold, snow and blowing wind.Some of them gather in little valleys huddling together, others are all alone braving the weather, their bark twisted and bent from the wind and snow.

i think we should start a charitable organization, dedicated to providing overcoats or propane heaters (it would probably cost too much to run extension cords for electric heaters) for these poor little trees.

it's just too sad to think about!

almost as sad as what a jerk stan is turning out to be!
