The Tuolumne River Rushing Downstream,Yosemite Photos,Yosemite 2005

The Tuolumne River starts in the high country of Yosemite.
This is a photo of the river as it races through a meadow
as gravity pulls it down and down eventually
to the Central Valley of California and out to
the Pacific Ocean.

Morning Grizzy, The tree in the photo yesterday is a Bristelcone Pine.
Yes we are burnt to a crisp as no one had sun block and we were on the water with all that reflection.Plus it was 107 in Mariposa yesterday.
The cooler never shuts off, it just runs and runs. But at midnight last night we had the inside temp in the 60's while it was still over 80 outside!
No nugget photos to show anyone, but we have about 3/4 of a five gallon bucket of black sand to process.
We are looking to use a Desert Fox or a Blue Bowl to process it, to see how efficient they operate.
No,I did not pick up Valley Views yet as I have not been to town, maybe today.
Take care and have a good day, stay inside after noon.

i thought you knew better than to fry! and what are you doing up at midnight?
at our house, when it's still warm inside and cooler outside, we open windows on opposite sides of the house, and put a fan in one of the windows pulling outside cooler air in. the theory is, the warm air will go out the other window! also, we have a second story, so we have fans in two of the windows upstairs, both blowing out. we make sure the door to the upstairs is open. heat rises, you know, just like gravity pulls the tuolumne river down to the ocean. amazing, isn't it!
right now, 3:30 pm, it's 98 outside and 80 inside. i have the fan on, blowing right on me, and it's fine. i will go to bed early, because i get up early (2:30 this morning) and set the alarm clock for about 10 so i can get up and open windows and turn on the fans.
where did you dredge? or is that a secret? that river is beautiful - makes me want to jump right in. (and jump right out - still cold, i'll bet)
