This photo was taken hand held with a zoom lens set at 400mm with Image Stabilizer turned on. There are quite a few Turkey Vultures throughout Mariposa County. If you want to learn a little about these big birds and maybe even join a society, check out these links: http://www.birds.cornell.edu/programs/AllAboutBirds/BirdGuide/Turkey_Vulture.html http://vulturesociety.homestead.com/ |

that's a GREAT picture, jerry! i happen to think vultures or buzzards or whatever their proper name is, are absolutely essential to the world. think what things would be like if everything that died just lay there! once i was kicking back out in the hammock and i looked up and saw what must have been a migration. hundreds and hundreds of buzzards going SOMEWHERE. i'm glad they didn't stop in. by the way, i picked up the papers to file in small claims court. it really and truly is NOT the money because i'll never get anything, but i think he needs to know how i feel. i've talked to several other people and they're all in agreement. |

i have a picture i'd like to send, but it looks like it's 675 kb and it's 1800x1200. i don't know how many DPI. i have it in the picture program called "picasa" and i just don't know what to do with it. i looked at its properties, but i still am in the dark.
