Morning Grizzy, the fall in yesterdays photo was Cascade Falls, which is the first major waterfall as you head into the park on the 140, look for it on the left hand side of the road. Also you can make a left turn farther up the 140 onto Highway 120 toward Manteca and get another view of Cascade Fall near the top where it starts to drop over the edge. Rain is in the air as the ozone is released into the morning air giving off that fresh clean smell. What a relief after all the 90- 100 degree days we had until recently. Glad you want to make that trip to Yosemite. We will go in the fall when the weather and scenery is better. What a good winter time project to get your photos in order. My mother did that years ago with slides, put them all in order by year with a page inside the box giving a brief description of each photo. She has about 25 boxes of slides that hold, if I remember right 140 slides. It was a monsterous job, but today it is so nice to have them like that. |

thanks for the info on the falls. and thanks for the raindrops. they were very enjoyable! my mother labeled her pictures, too. she wrote stuff like "this is me, last sunday" and "the boys on our trip" (just kidding) i bought a program and a printer that scans slides into jpegs. so far, it hasn't worked too well. very slow, for one thing. but i'd love to have my slides in the computer so i can print them out. be sure to check your email. |
