When walking through property in Mariposa County
always be aware that just maybe a mineshaft may
be below your feet and you could fall
maybe hundreds of feet down the shaft !!

I had a friend tell me a story about how he and another buddy walked over the top of this property and as they worked their way down to the bottom of the hill they looked back at where they had just came from and they could see daylight under where they had just walked.

Always be aware of your surroundings when walking on BLM or Forest Service ground as all mines were not recorded and marked.They can be very dangerous to your health !!
