My oh my where did September go to?
Seems like the months just go zipping by.
What do do this weekend?
There is almost too much to do this weekend.
I will post this now as the Jerseydale Yard Sale is going on right now. What is the Jerseydale Yard Sale?
It is a yard sale that is the full length of Jerseydale Rd. by all the homeowners and it benefits the fire dept there.
It starts at the corner of Darrah and Triangle Rd.
Get in the car and check out the longest yard sale you may ever see !! |

Here is a partial list of fun things to do today in the area:
Contractor’s Association 15th Annual Home and Garden Show
Mariposa County Fairgrounds, 9 a.m. – 3 p.m.
Many construction-related businesses and/or organizations will have booths with information to help homeowners and people interested in building and/or remodeling. Raffle prizes, Sheriff Dept. Finger Printing, face painting, bounce house, food and more.
12th ANNUAL CALAVERAS GRAPE STOMP & GOLD RUSH STREE FAIRE
Presented by the Calaveras Wine Association. Takes place from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. in historic Murphys. Featured events: stomp competitions (with prizes), live music, silent auction, BBQ, costume contest, belly dancing, and wine tasting from all Calaveras wineries! The event is free of charge. —www.CalaverasWines.org
Also do not forget the music in the Arts Park tonight.
Tonight the music will be by "Boys in the Woods"
playing old time bluegrass music. They were here back in July, so here is your chance to catch them again for free.
Remember the music although free, tips are accepted happily.
It all starts at about 7:00 PM downtown Mariposa by the Pizza Factory.
Also for Sunday the big event is over in Hornitos.
Where they will have the annual pancake breakfast and flea market.It starts at 6:00 AM with the breakfast being served followed by the flea market.
The money from the breakfast helps to restore the old Masonic Lodge in Hornitos. During the day, the 149 year old lodge will be open to the public.
How to get there?
From Mariposa,
Take 49 North to Bear Valley Rd. and hang a left.
From the 140 in Catheys Valley look for the road sign.
From Sonora, take 49 South to Bear Valley Rd. and hang a right.
From all other places E- mail for directions.
Also tomorrow, do you remember Bill Ray Cyrus ?
Well if you do and you would like to see him, head to the Calaveras Fairgrounds for an all day concert featuring Billy and other groups with the money going to the Calaveras Guid Dog Assoc.

you're not kidding about almost too much to do! and next weekend is just about as bad. the wine and fine art on sunday, and the fly-in at the airport on saturday.
