Wow ! What a weekend, there were just too many things to do.
The weather was just gorgeous for the many travelers that were out and about.
The Goldrushcam Crew spent yesterday on the Sierra Art Trails, mainly over in the Bass Lake, North Fork,Yosemite Lakes Park,Coarsegold and Oakhurst areas.
We arrived at 9 in the morning for a good hearty breakfast with friends in Oakhurst and then started the trail at about 10:30 and finally finished at almost 20 minutes after the official closing time of six for the trail.
There was a total of 102 artists this year and we did not get to see all of them because of time limitations. But the ones we did see are great artists at what they do.
The gentlemen above who makes these amazing sculptures out of Acylic and then bringing in a light source was worth the price of the book.
To contact Mr.Raetze send me an e-mail and I will forward it to him.
We started with Jim Crockett out in North Fork who builds boats by hand and ended the day with the sun going down as Mr. A.J. Castelo was making Raku fired ceramics in front of the Stellar Gallery on Highway 41 in Oakhurst.
To all the artists that we were able to visit, a big thank you goes out to you for opening your doors and listening to our questions (even if some were silly).
More photos of the tour may be posted later if time permits.
