With the only sound around of water tumbling over rocks,
yesterday up in the mountains on a gold pannning trip
was a peaceful way to spend a warm delightful
October day !

In Mariposa:

Saturday the 15
Historic Walking Tour of the Mariposa Cemetery, sponsored by Mariposa Museum
Located just off of Hwy. 49 N. at the corner of Fournier Rd. & Joe Howard Rd., 3 p.m. – 5:30 p.m.

After a brief introduction of the participating organizations (Mariposa Museum & History Center, Mariposa I.O.O.F. #39, Mariposa Lodge #24 F. &A.M., Mariposa County Parks & Recreation and the Mariposa Student Loan Association), a guided walking tour of the Public, Masonic and Odd Fellows Cemeteries will begin. Tour guides will guide you to some of Mariposa’s past residents and give you a brief account of their life and contributions to the history of Mariposa. Representatives will be on hand to answer questions about their organizations.

Mariposa County Board of Realtors – Annual Scholarship Dinner & Auction
Mariposa County Fairgrounds, Sequoia Hall, Social Hour – 6 p.m., Dinner & Auction – 7 p.m.

Texas BBQ (prepared by Leo’s Catering); Live Auction will be held by Auctioneer Jeff Baird (All Auction & Raffle Items have been Donated). This annual fundraising event is to support our local students who want to continue their education. With your help, we can assist these students in reaching their goals. Casual or Western Wear is the choice of the day.

Tickets $35.00 per person. Please contact the Board of Realtors Office by 10/3/05 to Reserve your tickets. This event has been a “Sold Out” event 3 years running!

Yosemite Association – “Autumn Botanicals in Yosemite Valley”
Fall in Yosemite Valley offers endless colorful botanical subjects–acorns, pinecones, and brilliant leaves of oak and dogwood–all bathed in the warm glow of low-angled light. Renowned nature artist, Andie Thrams, will teach this course. Course fee is $140 (members); $165 (non-members). Price includes entrance fee into Yosemite National Park and free camping or a choice of lodging in Yosemite Valley for an additional fee.

but i still want to say, what a beautiful picture! where did you find a creek with that much water?
