Good Morning,Grizzy You are right, when taking the Burma Grade Rd. take your time and enjoy the scenery. Getting to the top from Briceburg is kind of interesting as the road is about a 8-9 (out of ten) in places as far as needing a four wheel drive truck, but the Goldrushcam ford escort that thinks it is a truck took it in stride. Although a winch would be handy !! There are a lot of forest side roads up there to explore, along with mining claims and places to pan for gold if they are not under claim. We eventually were on the Old Yosemite Road into Yosemite, but as the light was failing and stopping to take photos all the time we decided to turn around and look for a place to eat in Greeley Hill (No such luck),so we came home the same way you described and had supper in Mariposa. |
