Here is a Thanksgiving treat from the staff at the Goldrushcam. This comes early because you need to start the recipe tomorrow or Wednesday morning ! Have you ever had a brined turkey? For the best Thanksgiving turkey ever follow the recipe that follows. Also remember bigger is not always better. A bird in the 14-16 lb class is what you should look for. To small? Buy two ! The only addition I make to this recipe is to use Montreal Chicken Spice instead of the spices that are used in the recipe. Also a mesquite wood fire is used on a outdoor BBQ. Cooked at the lower the temp the better. Do not overcook! Take off at 165. And cover with foil for twenty minutes. Here is the link to the recipe: http://www.sfgate.com/cgi-bin/article.cgi?f=/chronicle/archive/2005/11/16/FDG71FNODJ1.DTL Hope you try this little treasure of a recipe |
