With the clouds rolling overhead like the opening of a Star Wars movie, the Central Valley has sunshine poking through here and there. At the far horizon line the Coast Range Foothills can be seen.They are about 80 - 100 miles away.On the other side of the foothills in the center of the photo is where the Monterey Peninsula would be located on the coast of California.

we sat in the dark for about 4 hours last night. and you know something? as much as i complain about the money we spend with PG&E every month, i included their linemen in my prayers last night!
