See this photo live in the late afternoon hours at the Goldrushcam Live Weather Camera:

Watch for new bird feeders to be put up and we enable a new software program for the camera that will track movement and hopefully zoom in nice and clear on the birds or on the deer when they are in the yard :-)

Morning Grizzy, you left a very visual image in my mind after that last post on the Friday board.
Yes, those coyotes really love those Christmas berries.
Never have I seen the birds drunk on those berries yet though as Keith said he has seen them fly into his windows.
But we will keep the camera ready this year and be ready for some silly birds.
Also I do not know if the deer eat these berries?

The Live Camera Links Page has now been updated with plenty of new local cameras and many other interesting cameras to see.
One of the highlights:
The Mount Wilson Camera, just a huge beautiful photo, if you are on dial-up just give it time to load.

The page can be accessed from the bottom of the home page, or in the directory.
Here is a direct link to the page:

in all our recent talk about toyon berries, we forget that some of the critters out there prefer other items. for example -
yesterday i was looking out the window at all the quail running across the meadow, when i saw a hawk swoop down and pick up his lunch. it was so quick that if i had blinked at the wrong minute i would have missed it.
a few years ago, i saw a hawk pick up a snake and carry it off. the snake was about 3 feet long and did a lot of thrashing around while it was being carried.
it's a jungle out there!
