Late post today as the Goldrushcam Crew was tired out from the big day yesterday.
Wow,what a gorgeous day it was yesterday as the parade rolled into town. Bright sunshine and warm weather was the order of the day.The parade started a little after eleven as the highway was shut down in Mariposa. Young and old, visitor and local stood side by side as the bands and floats
stretched down the highway. Gorgeous old cars rolled by followed by horses and local fire department trucks all decked out in ribbons.
Santa made his appearance waving to all in the crowd, as candy was given to the little ones by his helpers.
Later today we will put a special page with photos of the parade and the bonfire later that evening while the little ones lined up to tell Santa just what they wanted for Christmas ! |
