People come from all over the world to this one spot, Valley View in Yosemite National Park, to take in the majestic beauty, to snap photos for memories, to share the experience with friends or just to find a ledge to sit on and gaze inward while looking outward.

We end the year with this sunset over Mariposa,California. The staff at the Goldrushcam just stand in reverance sometimes at the beautiful susnsets that we are so lucky to be a part of.

2005, Where Did You Go?

How fast time seems to go, but thanks to photos we can look back and remember good times and sad times according to the picture. A photograph is like a memory that others can see and share with you. Keep your photos near, out on a table,on the walls, not in a drawer where no one can see.
Display them proudly for in a photograph our life can be shared with others.

Well we are back up after being without power for about three hours. Sitting on 2.80 inches of rain since midnight. with .30 inches before midnight gives us a grand total of 3.10 inches of rain.
A big thank you to the P.G.& E. workers.
We also had wind howling through the trees, strongest gust so far 33 miles per hour !
Remember thunder and lightning are also in the forecast. We have just about tripled the amount of rain for the month of December from the normal average.

Watch the river rise at Pohono Bridge in Yosemite National Park, remember flood stage is 10.00 ft.
