To cast a fly in the icy Merced River in the shadow
of El Capitan in the expectation of catching a scrappy
rainbow trout is a fisherman's dream.

I can appreciate what a fisherman feels like as they catch a fish while fly fishing. I now get my fish at Costco! I find it a lot less frustrating, and I actually get to bring some fish home to cook Jerry, Goldrushcam Photographer Posted on Saturday, January 14, 2006 - 5:09 pm:    Rain, and hail and a loss of power for one hour, from about 3:30 to 4:45. That is hail on the ground not snow in the photo on the web cam. The weather service had a warning for dime size hail but we did not get that up here, maybe Bootjack or the town of Mariposa did. 36 out there right now with light rain. Just maybe it will turn to snow later on
