Hail On The Ground,Mariposa Photos,Mariposa 2006

As thunder and lightning yesterday afternoon
announced a new weather system moving in,
hail started falling from the sky, although
not as large as NOAA had predicted.
Some areas were reported to have dime
sized hail !

No, we have no snow outside this morning :-(
Wait let me go and check again.
No, not a drop.
Better luck next time they say.
By the way who are they ?
Cool out there right now, in fact the coldest day of the season yet, although tonight is supposed to be colder.
With the lightning and thunder yesterday we lost power for more than an hour.

This better not happen during the Super Bowl.
One minute you are watching a game, them poof, out goes the power, magically thanks to those PG&E workers it comes back on, just as they are discussing the final score !
What happenend ? Who knows ?

After looking at the Yosemite cam late yesterday, I could not tell if that was hail or snow on the ground, but either way if you make a trip there today take your chains and make sure they fit and you know how to put them on !

Go Colts !
