What a gorgeous sunset last night, with a bright fiery sun setting in the west and the clouds forming over the mountains around Yosemite, the glow off of the clouds was just fabulous ! This photo was taken next to the right shoulder of Kirby Peak, so the elevation of the highest range must be about 5,000 feet. You can actually follow the snow line down in the picture. The lower ridge looks like about 3,500 feet or so. |

Driving around today, maybe going skiing in Yosemite ? Or just out looking at the scenery, watch out for ice on the roads as last night was cold enough to cause ice on the roads. Watch out for shady sections of the road, if the traffic sign says slow down, Slow Down ! Do not be listed in the sheriff report ! |
