What a gorgeous day in Yosemite yesterday with no chains required unless you were going skiing up at Badger Pass. Then you need chains or 4-wheel drive with snow tires. You still have to drive slow and observant as there are some slippery sections! This photo was taken near Curry Village on the East end of the park where skaters were busy ice skating or attempting to bear some relevance to ice skating The village was packed full of school age children who were on field trips. In fact the Pizza Parlor was closed to only the schools! Needless to say it was not a very quiet place to be. I do not know if you could hear the kids from on top of Glacier Point but I would not be surprised. If you could harvest all that energy we would not be in the situation we are right now with the price of fuel. |
