Wow! What a gorgeous day we had yesterday!
The thermometer up here topped out at 62.3.
The Goldrushcam Crew was busy down in Bear Valley playing with the metal detectors and it felt like 70 degrees over there.
Found a nice old shovel head that will have to be hung up somewhere or other. If only these objects could talk, the stories they could tell around a campfire at night !
As we were right in the downtown area of Bear Valley which used to boast a population of three to four thousand people we kept finding enough iron to open up a iron mill. But you never know what you might find among all the old junk you dig up. Sometimes the imagination takes over while you are digging for your treasure and El Dorado enters your thoughts.
