Wow, what a difference a day makes !! Yesterday the low was 50.7 and so far today the low was 28.2 ! The wood stove is fired back up as winter sets back in. I think snow is in the air when some moisture decides to move into our area. This is our season low so far. |

The above photo is from a few days ago in Yosemite when it was very mild in temperature. The photo was taken with a 16MM lens with a 1.6 crop factor giving the lens an effective 25MM wide angle range. The original file is over 8megs compared to this web reduced image of about 80k. In the original the photo has enough detail in it to zoom around the valley looking at the buildings that are barely visible in this reduced photo. In fact the Awahnee can be seen in the original photo. These bigger files also have much better color rendition and sharpness to them. When everyone has DSL or cable or the new fast copper wire AC mains internet one day, we will be able to post bigger file sizes enabling one to see the detail in the bigger file sizes  |
