Good Morning Shawnette, Thanks for the comments about this site ! You are right, almost anywhere in Yosemite can be a photograph. (1) be up at Tunnel View at sun up or sunset, (2) anywhere in the valley in the morning hours as the cold mist hangs in the air. (3) In the valley on North Side Drive just before you leave the park there is a pullout on your left.Bridal Veil is across the Merced River and El Capitan is on your left. Be there in the afternoon to evening. (4) Yosemite Falls in the afternoon, but the later in the afternoon it gets the more the shadows take over the falls. And I could go on and on and on. For a really good book about the seasons and photography check here: http://goldrushcam.com/goldrushcam_books.htm Scroll down to the third row, second book, The Photographers guide to Yosemite by Mr.Frye This is the best six dollars you can spend on a Yosemite book. One last thing, The falls can get your camera wet!! and you also !! you can use a garbage bag (new of course) to protect you or purchase a rain coat of some sort or other. For your Camera I have seen people use a plastic bag covering most of the camera. One more last thing, it could be slippery and icy, watch your step very carefully, protect your camera at all costs. Use your lens hoods so if you fall hopefully the hood will absorb most of the shock. Last of all have fun |
