These delicate Manzanita Berries must have been very cold yesterday as a weather system blew in and dumped more than ten inches in one day up here at out elevation. Thus giving us around 14- 16 inches for the weekend depending where you measure and counting snow melt and compression. It was a grand day for sledding and snow ball making and fort building as the snow just kept dropping silently out of the sky. |

What a snow we had over the weekend ! It was just fabulous on Sunday as it just snowed and snowed and snowed. We lost power along with about 10,000 other residences and Yosemite Park, but as long as the wood stove is around you can get by just fine ! You can heat water, cook, read etc. Just maybe we could live without PG&E. Oh, but we would need solar for out Internet (Message edited by admin on February 20, 2006) |

We have added a Blog !! The link to it is on the homepage next to the photo of the day on the right. Here we will discuss things that are relevant to our lives in the mountains or whatever we want to talk about |

Hi Jerry wow... lot of snow huh ! do you think the Manzanita berries will do ok with all this snow and cold or will they be damaged. I remember reading a few days ago that the Manzanitas were going to bloom soon and then along came the cold and snow. Hope they survive Richard |
