Heavy Snow On The Tree Branches In Mariposa County,Mariposa Photos,Mariposa 2006

As the heavy snow clings to the branches,
this Oak tree struggles to keep its branches
from breaking.
A sliver of a moon can be seen just
above the snowy branches !

This snow was a lot heavier than the snow of about two weeks ago. That is why the trees were all bent over with some losing branches here and there, We lost half of a beautiful Toyon tree, so if you see me out there during the next heavy snow with a big broom, brooming off the trees, please do not laugh, stop and help and then enjoy a cup of hot chocolate :-)

How heavy was the snow?
Two weeks ago snow: About 14-15 inches with about .87 inch of liquid measure.
This snow: About 9.5 inches with about 1.10 inches of liquid measure
What a big difference.
Maybe someone can figure out the percentage difference and tell us just how much heavier this snow was !
