The last day of winter 2005-06 and along with some sunshine we have a little rain along with Graupel as it tries to snow on us one last winter day !!

For sure that little animal back east was right on the forecast.
Our Forecast was wrong but we beg mercy as we were outside in the morning hours when it was rainy and drippy and went out on a limb and made our fearlous forecast. But lo and behold later in the day the sun came out which would have changed our prediction. So next year we will hold on until twelve noon until we make our prediction.
If we can hold our furry little creature that long

Reading the news from the front page of the Goldrushcam it stikes us as funny (not really) how all the proposed and new subdivisions that are being built all over the place have glowing reports from developers that never seem to pan out after they have built out the area and are long gone. Suddenly no money for police, schools, infrastructure and the like.
Crime rises along with traffic it seems.
Who really is the winner in the end ?
The developer, the city, the old citizens or the new citizens, the commuter who must drive hours ?
Some small towns have been that way for a long time and I bet most of the long time residents like it just the way it is !!!
