Miner's Lettuce in Stanislaus County

Look around the foothills right now and you
will find this growing in abundance.
What is it ?
Miner's Lettuce ! It helped the old time miners to
stay healthy in the springtime after a winter of
reduced vitamin C intake.

Miner's Lettuce is actually very good as we have sampled it out in the field on hikes.
We need to gather a few bags of it for home use in an actual salad !
