Covered bridge in Knights Ferry, California

On a hazy day the Knights Ferry Bridge in
Stanislaus County off of Highway 108
West of Jamestown sits silently as
the bridge is no longer used for everyday
traffic and is part of a park system now.

The historic Knights Ferry Bridge is the longest covered bridge west of the Mississippi !
A cozy small town worth your time to visit just a few miles from Jamestown,Ca.

Hi Rochelle,
Thanks for the compliment !
I will be back there for some sunset shots as the color of the wood is very warm.
Would like to been through that bridge in an old buggy listening to the clip clop of the horses as they went through the bridge.
There is some very interesting history in that area.
I think a book could be done just on the History of the Ferry's (?) and the Toll roads that were built all through the foothills of the Sierra.
