On Highway 140 in downtown Mariposa, California sits a very special shop in the middle of the historic district. Artist Alinda Franklin hand crafts "one of a kind" soft sculpture creations that look so life-like you will just have to order one. Take your time in 'Dolls By Alinda' as there is much to look at and admire. Study the detail that Alinda puts into every creation as she deftly adds special touches here and there. Cowboys and fairies, of all sizes, with likenesses from real people all the way to the whimsical can be found in every corner of this fascinating store.

 


















This whimsical soft sculpture creation has a tame wolf along
with a pair of hummingbirds in front of a hiding sun.		  


An old Indian with many life stories in his eyes, holds out a peace pipe as a welcome gesture to a new friend.
   

 

Taking a moment to pose for a photograph, Alinda Franklin, pictured to the right,  is holding  the beginning of a creation that when finished will resemble Mark Twain.
Another doll sits behind Alinda for the finishing touches to be put on before being picked up by a local resident of Mariposa.
