Outgoing Temporary CAO, Mike Coffield received a letter of resolution from the Mariposa County Board of Supervisors for his contributions as Interim County Administrative Officer / Budget/ Personnel/ Risk Manager at a special Monday morning meeting.
Mike Coffield said to the department heads that were gathered in the room that he wanted to thank them.
He also told the department heads that they were the ones who balanced the budget. Finally  he turned to the board and said " Thanks for one last, last opportunity to serve this board'.
Mariposa County Sheriff, Jim Allen, said he would have liked a warrant put out for Mr.Coffield so a judge would have sentenced him to a work furlough program so he could serve more time helping the county.
Supervisor Janet Bibby said, "You will never find a finer gentleman" as she praised Mr.Coffield for his contributions to the county.
Supervisor Dianne Fritz thanked the outgoing CAO for sitting down with her and explaining the budget to her and also said that he was" truly a leader".
Also Supervisor Bob Pickard thanked Mike and said "It was a privilege to work with you".


After the presentation to Mike Coffield the board went into a closed session meeting as they held interviews for a new fire chief for Mariposa County
