On Sunday, December 17, 2006, Mariposa County Fire Department responded to a flue fire on the 4100 block of Oak Grove School Road. The home is owned by Susan See who was home at the time. 

 Ms. See had just started a fire in her fire place when the flue caught fire.  Her nephew came over to the house and extinguished the fire.

 When County Fire units arrived on scene, they checked to make sure that the fire did not spread from the flue.

 The Mariposa County Sheriff’s Office assisted Ms See with her needs while the fire crews checked the house.  Responding to the incident were fire crews from Mariposa County Fire companies of Bootjack, Morman Bar, Lushmeadows, in addition MPUD and two engines from California Fire Department responded.

 There was no damage to the house and Ms See was able to return to her home.
