Mariposa County Unemployment Report For November 2006
 

The Mariposa County Unemployment rate for November 2006 stood at 5.3 %. A Gain of 0.9% from the October report and also .5% down from November of 2005.

The State of California unemployment rate for November was 4.5% a Gain of .3% from the October report and a .6% drop from November 2005.

The United States unemployment rate for November was 4.3% a gain of a .2% from October and .5% drop from November 2005.

The above numbers are not adjusted for seasonality.

8,330 people were employed during November in Mariposa County while 470 were out looking for work. That compares to 400 residents who were looking for work in October and 500 in November 2005.

310 more residents were employed this November than November 2005.

Of the 8,700 workers 1,930 work for the government, 1,830 work in the leisure and hospitality industry and 10 individuals work on farms.
