Ferguson Slide Temporary Bridge Photos

Waiting in line at almost 6:00 in the morning on July 31, 2006
with about 100 other vehicles for the bridge to open .

Getting closer to the new bridge !
Check out the footings !

Looking like a big boy erector set !

Were Next !
Watch out news crew guy, here comes the Goldrushcam car !

Looking South over the Merced River at the cars that are still waiting to cross the bridge.

On the North side of the river on the old railroad bed for about six miles or so.
What a fine road Caltrans built.
Yes, that is the slide on the right side of the photo !

Teichert Construction workers getting ready for another day of work.
This is the other temporary bridge that will bring the vehicles back over the Merced River to the 140.
Footings are in.

Another view of the other temporary bridge being built.

Heading South in the Merced River Canyon the guardrail keeps you safe before you make the left turn
to head back into Briceburg and then into Mariposa.
A big thank you from the Goldrushcam / Sierra Sun Times to the Caltrans workers, all the workers from Teichert Construction
and all the other nameless people who helped make this come together in about five weeks from when Caltrans awarded
the contract to Teichert Construction.
