Mariposa Sheriff Department To Use Radar At School Zones

 

The Mariposa County Sheriff’s Office wishes to inform the public that sheriff deputies will be utilizing radar for speed enforcement while patrolling our local active school zones.  Sheriff Allen wishes to remind all motorists traveling near and through our school zones to remain diligent of their speed and their surroundings.  This radar speed enforcement program is focused on gaining compliance, not necessarily issuing tickets.  We are working with the local school staff in a joint effort to maintain a safe environment around our schools.  It is in everyone’s best interest to maintain their vehicle within the posted school speed zone limits for our children’s safety
