Drug Bust At The Skate Park In Mariposa
| On Wednesday, September 20,
2006 at about 2:00 p.m., Mariposa County Sheriff
Deputies responded to the Mariposa County Park, in the area of the Skate Park, to investigate a call of people smoking
marijuana. Deputies; Tom Breinig and Nicole Gilmore arrived to the Skate Park and contacted a group of five subjects, a mix
of young adults and juveniles. 19 year old, Mr. Jason Bennett, of Mariposa, was interviewed and found to be in possession of
over one ounce of marijuana, including; marijuana joints, individually packaged marijuana for sale and a significant amount of
concentrated cannabis. Bennett was arrested and booked into the county jail for felony possession of marijuana, felony
possession of marijuana for sale and felony possession of concentrated cannabis. Bennett’s bail is set at $30,000.00. |
