One reported fire in the county yesterday and that call came in during the morning hours about a possible illegal burn in the Cathey's Valley area on the 140.
No reported accidents in the county yesterday.
Barking dogs on Hirsch Road had everyone but the dogs owners all upset.
Fifty loose goats were wandering around out on Yaqui Gulch Road.

During the afternoon hours a cement truck on the 140 in the Merced River Canyon spilled part of it's load.
Someone was reported to be trespassing on Crown Lead Road during the afternoon hours.
A burglary was reported from Usona Road.

Three reported fires in the county yesterday with the first call coming in during the afternoon hours on 49 South near the airport where vegetation was burning. The second reported fire came in during the evening hours from Hornitos Road where vegetation was burning and the third reported fire also came in during the evening hours about a structure fire on Cuneo Road.
No reported accidents in the county yesterday,
The caller from Usona Road reported a rattlesnake that was doing something or other.
The caller from Narcisco Way reported a neglected horse.
Someone's two puppies were found on Red Cloud Mine Road.
Five goats were missing from Feliciana Mountain Road.

During the evening hours the caller from Summit Road reported hearing someone shooting.

Besides the continuing 'Motor Fire' there were no reported fires in the county yesterday.
One reported accident in the county yesterday and that accident occurred on Carleton Road during the afternoon hours where a truck flipped on the road.
Loose goats were out having fun on Ernst Road and someone found a goat on Usona Road.
The caller from Oak Road was having problems with a bear.
The caller from Banderilla Drive reported dead bats.
During the early morning hours the caller from Varain Road said they hear a shot being fired and later during the early evening hours the caller from Homestead Road had concerns over someone that was possibly shooting unsafely in the area.
Also the caller from Our Lady Lane had concerns about someone that was shooting during the evening hours.

Someone was trespassing on Saint Andrews Road during the afternoon hours.
The caller from Mariposa Feed reported a lost wallet.
During the afternoon hours a missing 5 year old at MES was located.
Petty theft was reported from the Bootjack area.
The caller from Fir Street in the Fish Camp area reported being harassed.
The caller from Sierra Road had concerns over someone that was stalking.
An assault and battery was reported from Grosjean Road.
Corporal injury to a spouse that took place on Hirsch Road during the evening hours resulted in someone going to the pokey.

Besides the continuing 'Motor Fire' there was one reported fire in the county yesterday and that fire took place during the early morning hours on Merced Falls Road.
One reported accident in the county yesterday and that accident occurred just before noon where a vehicle tangled with a deer on Buckeye Creek Road.
There was a boating accident reported from the Barrett Cove Marina on Lake McClure during the afternoon hours.
The caller from Campbell Way reported a missing dog and the caller from Hunters Valley Road reported a missing Yellow Labrador Retriever.
Someone who was bitten by a dog ended up at the John C. Fremont ER.
Petty theft was reported from Harris Road.
A burglary was reported from Granite Springs Road and Carleton Road.
During the afternoon hours someone noticed an open window at the Court House.
During the afternoon hours the caller from Pioneer Market reported suspicious circumstances.
An assault an battery was reported from Yosemite Oaks Road.
During the later evening hours the caller from Circle Drive reported being harassed.

Besides the continuing 'Motor Fire' there were three reported fires in the county yesterday with the first fire being reported during the early morning hours from Old Highway Road and from Mormon Bar Crossing Road.
(The early morning fires on Old Highway Road have been contained. Now doing mop-up. Info as we hear it. Began at 4:48 A.M. Saturday, August 27, 2011 CHP is reporting that a call came in from the Fairgrounds that someone was looking up the hill and sees a fire. Vegetation Fires. This is in the Old Highway Road area near Yaqui Gulch Road. Three fires over several miles are being reported. 3rd fire is between 3 and 5 acres. As of 6:10 A.M. hearing that all the fires are contained.)
The second fire was reported as a vehicle fire on 49 South during the later morning hours. The third reported fire came in during the afternoon hours from Ashworth Road where vegetation was burning.
No reported accidents in the county yesterday.

One reported fire in the county yesterday besides the ongoing 'Motor Fire.' The fire call came in during the evening hours from Apperson Mine Road.
One reported accident in the county yesterday and that accident occurred on 49 North down at Bagby that involved a couple of motorcycles during the noon hour.
Someone's dog was running around on Bullion Street.
A bear (Not the Mariposa Bear) was causing problems on Darrah Road.
During the noon hour a call came in about animal abuse from Bullion Street.
A dead cat was laying on the 140 near Mariposa.
During the morning hours a physical disturbance on Merced Falls Road led to someone going to the pokey to cool off.
Someone was operating a grader on Triangle Road during the afternoon hours with no advisory road signs according to the CHP log.
A vehicle was vandalized on Hospital Road.
One fellow and one lady were booked yesterday in the county under lock and key for various offenses including DUI and Inflicting Corporal Injury on a Spouse/Co-habitant.

Two reported fires in the county yesterday with the first reported fire being a motor home that caught on fire in the Merced River Canyon on Highway 140 during the noon hour that sparked a wildland fire. The second reported fire came in from Millbrow Lane during the afternoon hours.
One reported accident in the county yesterday and that accident occurred as a vehicle went off of the roadway and into the Merced River at Briceburg with someone being medi-flighted to Modesto.
Bears were causing problems on Rancho Vista Drive during the evening hours.
The caller from Buckeye Road reported that their dog was missing.
Someone's dogs were messing around with livestock on Schoolhouse Road.
The caller from Smith Road had concerns over the care of a dog.
The caller from Dexter Road reported a 'multiplying' cat problem.

During the early morning hours the caller from Rancho Vista Drive reported harassment.
Also during the early morning hours someone was yelling on Hirsch Road.

A Jack Russell was reported missing from Tip Top Road.
A thin horse was on Hornitos Road and two hours later another call came in about a thin horse on that same road.
(Two calls came in yesterday about horse(s) on that road!)
The caller from Usona Road called in about the welfare of someone's dogs.
During the very early morning hours someone was possibly trespassing out on Dogtown Road.
Some jerk dumped their junk on Hites Cove Road.
A scam was reported from Country Lane.
During the noon hour a suspicious person was noticed on 8th Street.
During the late afternoon hours suspicious circumstances were occurring on Yaqui Gulch Road and later on Marshall Road.
The caller from Coachman Road reported the theft of a wallet.
On Hunters Valley Road their was a dispute about an easement.

During the very early morning hours a barking dog on Broadway Street had the neighbors in a tizzy.
An injured opossum was on Brooks Road.
During the Midnight hour someone was disturbing the peace on Saint Andrews Road.
Vandalism was reported from Saint Andrews Road.
Over on Granite Springs Road a water tank was overflowing.
The caller from Hornitos Road requested a welfare check on a horse and a few hours later another call came in about the welfare of a horse on that same road.

During the Midnight hour someone was playing their music very LOUDLY on Triangle Road around Lushmeadows.
A dog was reported to be in distress on Chinche Court.
The caller from Peg Leg Road reported a missing dog.
The caller from Ashworth Road reported a missing person along with a missing dog during the very early morning hours.
It was a very suspicious day in the county yesterday!
During the morning hours suspicious people were noticed on Scott Road and later a suspicious vehicle was on the Exchequer Road.
A suspicious vehicle was also observed on Carter Road during the afternoon hours.
Suspicious circumstances were occurring on Carleton Road during the afternoon hours and during the very late evening hours on the 140 near Mariposa.
Malicious mischief was reported from the J.C. Fremont Clinic in Mariposa.
Someone's wallet was found on the 140 near Happy Burger Restaurant.

The Mariposa Bear was sighted on Deer Springs Road.
A rattlesnake was doing something or other on Sherrod Road.
Vandalism was reported from the Art Park.
A sign was vandalized in the Fish Camp area of the county.
A burglary was reported from Buena Vista Drive.
The caller from the Mariposa County Library reported that someone was refusing to leave.
Someone was making threats somewhere in the county during the later morning hours.
The caller from Carter Road reported receiving harassing Emails.

Down on the Merced River someone was allegedly drunk in public during the afternoon hours.

One reported accident in the county yesterday and that accident occurred during the later evening hours on 49 South near Varain Road where a vehicle went off of the roadway and hit a tree with someone getting a helicopter ride out of the county to the hospital.
During the early morning hours the caller from 6th Street reported a small opossum in the house.
(Note: not the critter that was reported in the house on 6th Street but a relative!)

During the early evening hours a bear was causing problems on Silva Road and a mountain lion or bobcat was sighted on 49 North near Bear Valley.
Mailboxes were vandalized on Wilbur's Way and on Old Highway Road near Mariposa. A few hours later another call came in about vandalism occurring on the above mentioned roads.
During the later morning hours a suspicious vehicle was observed on Harris Road.
During the noon hour someone was trespassing on Greeley Hill Road.
Petty theft was reported from Main Street in Coulterville.
Someone's property was found at Heritage House.
A disturbing party was being held at a residence on Tip Top Road.

A mountain lion was sighted on Triangle Road during the afternoon hours.
A vehicle was vandalized on 7th Street.
During the very early morning hours suspicious circumstances were observed on Indian Peak Road and a few hours later vandalism was reported from that same road.
Suspicious circumstances were taking place on Trabucco Street during the afternoon hours.
The caller from the Bootjack area during the noon hour reported a possible aircraft that was in distress.

Two reported accidents in the county yesterday with the first accident taking place on the 140 during the later morning hours. The second reported accident was on the 41 near Fish Camp during the afternoon hours.
A skinny horse was out on Ganns Corral Road.
A vicious dog was on Piney Creek Road.
On Schoolhouse Road a bull was standing on the roadway.
During the very late evening hours horses escaped from the Fairgrounds.
A burglary was reported from Highway 49 near Mariposa and on Slaughterhouse Road.
Someone was reported firing shots down at McCabe Flat at Briceburg.
Someone was being harassed on Watt Road.
During the noon hour someone was playing LOUD music on Ernst Road.
Someone who assaulted another person with a deadly weapon on Crown Lead Road was taken to the pokey.
During the evening hours someone who was reported to be drunk in public on the 41 near Fish Camp was given a free ride to the Mariposa County Jail.

Four reported fire/smoke calls in the county yesterday with the first call coming in during the early morning hours from Grist Road where the caller reported the smell of smoke and then a few hours later a caller from Sherlock Road also reported the smell of smoke. The third reported call came in from the Bear Valley area during the afternoon hours where the caller reported seeing smoke. (That call was about a small fire on Pendola Gardens Road that jumped Highway 49 North. According to My Mother Lode.com a mobile home was burned in the fire.) The fourth reported call came in during the late afternoon hours about a stove fire on Highway 49 near Mariposa.
No reported accidents in the county yesterday.
A distressed skunk was on Highway 49 North near Bear Valley.
A bear was causing problems during the late evening hours on Wass Road.
Petty theft was reported from Fairgrounds Road.
Vandalism was reported from the Art Park and on Campbell Way.
During the morning hours the caller from Saint Andrews Road was fed up with a barking dog.
During the afternoon hours suspicious circumstances were taking place on Harden Flat Road and during the evening hours on Mueller Road.

One reported fire in the county yesterday and that call came in during the afternoon hours about a car that was on fire on Coakley Circle.
Two reported accidents in the county yesterday with the first call coming in during the morning commute hours where two vehicles collided at the intersection of Highway 49 South and Ben Hur Road. The second reported accident came in during the very late evening hours from Henness Circle.
A Catahoula was reported lost from French Camp Road.
(You do know what a Catahoula is, Right?)
A bear was in someone's trash on Allred Road.
At the Mariposa County High School Bus Garage kittens were reported to be in the dumpster. The kittens were picked up and sent to Impound.
During the morning hours suspicious circumstances were observed in the area of Piney Creek and later during the afternoon hours on Stoney Oak Road and on Indian Gulch Road and finally during the early evening hours on Usona Road.
The caller from Bull Creek Road reported the theft of metal.

The caller from Colorado Road reported a scam.

One reported fire in the county yesterday and that fire call came in during the later morning hours from Merced Falls Road where vegetation was burning.
Three reported accidents in the county yesterday with the first call coming in during the morning hours from Granite Springs Road where a hit and run was reported to the CHP. The second reported accident came in from the Barrett Cove Boat Ramp during the afternoon hours. The third reported accident came in during the early evening hours from the Greeley Hill Road where a motorcycle was reported over an embankment and resulted in someone going to the pokey.
The caller from Darrah Road was missing three sheep.

During the evening hours a domestic dispute at the McSwain Marina resulted in someone getting a free ride to the cooler for a few hours.

During the very early morning hours someone was being harassed on Ben Hur Road.
During the later morning hours a suspicious person was noticed at the Hornitos Post Office.

Two reported fire/smoke calls in the county yesterday with the first call coming in during the morning hours from Hirsch Road about seeing fire/smoke. The second reported fire was on 49 North near Mariposa during the later morning hours.

One reported fire/smoke call in the county yesterday and that call came in during the evening hours from out on Ganns Corral Road where the caller reported seeing smoke.
Two reported accidents in the county yesterday with the first accident occurring on the 140 near Mariposa during the afternoon hours. The second reported accident was on Villarreal Drive during the late evening hours.
At five in the morning a barking dog on Hirsch Road was keeping everyone from sleeping.
The caller from Silver Bar Road was having problems with a bear.
A viscous dog was on Hites Cove Road.
(Second day for this type of call on that road.)
During the noon hour someone left their dog locked in the car on the 140 near Mariposa.
At two in the morning a civil problem was occurring out on Usona Road.
Vandalism was reported from the Mormon Bar X-Ing Road.
Someone was trespassing on Daffodil Drive and later on Oak Road.
There was a property issue on Princeton Way.
During the afternoon hours suspicious circumstances were noticed on 10th Street and also a suspicious vehicle was observed on Cuneo Street during the afternoon hours.
Someone was being harassed on Ben Hur Road.
During the late evening hours a verbal dispute was taking place by the Pizza Factory.

Someone's property was found on 7th Street and on Old Highway Road near Mariposa.

The caller from Dogtown Road had questions about a dead bat.
A dog was in distress on Dogtown Road.
A bear was causing problems on Triangle Road.
During the morning hours a home invasion was reported from Circle Drive and resulted in someone going to jail.
During the later morning hours someone was making threats on 49 North.
Vandalism was reported from Jalapa Way.
During the afternoon hours a verbal dispute on Main Street in Coulterville resulted in someone going to the pokey.
Also during the afternoon hours a disturbance on Princeton Way resulted in someone going to the pokey.
An assault and battery on Grosjean Road resulted in someone going to the pokey.
Theft of Marijuana was reported from Midpines by the Merced River.
A mailbox was vandalized on Buckeye Road.
During the evening hours a man and woman were yelling on Smith Road.

Three reported fires in the county yesterday with the first fire being reported as a structure fire on Smith Station Road during the Midnight hour. The second reported fire was a grass fire out at Horseshoe Bend during the late morning hours. The third reported fire was on White Rock Road during the early evening hours where vegetation was burning.
No reported accidents in the county yesterday.
