CASA of Mariposa County is a non-profit organization, which advocates for the best interests of abused and neglected children within the court system. Based on the belief that children are entitled to a safe and permanent home, CASA works in the court system through trained volunteers, in collaboration with key agencies, legal counsel and community resources to serve as the child's advocates and represent the child in juvenile court.
RECESS program that we offer here at CASA is a program for families that need a few hours a week of care for their children, whether it be to run errands or take a break we are here for them.
NOURISH - CASA offers a monthly class for our Resource Families. To learn more about this please contact us in our office.
PARENTING PARTNERS - Once a month we offer a class to Bio families who would like some extra support.
Help us serve every child.
We see new stories every day telling us children are being abused and neglected. And, unfortunately, more and more children are at risk in our own community.
These children can have happy ending stories. There’s a group of caring and committed people who are speaking up for these children. These people are working diligently to see that abused and neglected children don’t ‘fall through the cracks. They are gathering information to help the juvenile judge make the best decisions for these vulnerable children. They are there for the child. These caring people are making sure that the child’s voice is heard.
Who are these wonderful community members? They are CASA Volunteers. CASA is a volunteer-powered network of trained and supported individuals who believe that society has a fundamental obligation to see that children have the right to be treated with dignity, to be safe, and to thrive in a safe and permanent home. CASA Volunteers are from all walks of life, people just like you.
CASA is growing stronger every day. We invite you to become a partner in our efforts to provide a powerful voice for the children in our community.
So many children in foster care need our help.
Not sure if you have time right now to become a Volunteer Advocate for an abused or neglected child? Tell your family and friends about CASA’s mission work. We are certain that you know someone who might like to know more about CASA’s work for children.
