Do you have old cell phones and batteries lying around? Well they don’t belong in the trash… recycle them here in Mariposa County at a local business. For your convenience, boxes can be found inside many local businesses (listed below) during normal business hours. You can recycle cell phones and batteries, both alkaline-single use and rechargeable batteries such as those in power tools. Place your batteries in a small plastic bag or tape the ends before you put them in the box.

The Mariposa County Library and all four Branch libraries also have collection boxes for ease of disposal.
