There will be a number of good and interesting music groups coming to this year's Yosemite Music Festival, held at the Mariposa County Fairgrounds on Friday, July 8th and Saturday, July 9th. Besides the headliners, The Americans and Heron Oblivion, a very talented group that played at last year's festival to a very appreciative audience is back. The Fearless Kin, featuring two sisters, Paige and Aimee Anderson, of Grass Valley, Ca. are consummate musicians and singers/songwriters in the Bluegrass Style. You will be amazed by the quality of music coming from these young people. Music is their family heritage and gift to those of us lucky enough to see and hear them. Don't miss this act Saturday early evening. Also on Saturday night will be the Snow Angels, an all-female psychedelic pop band out of Oakland, Ca.
How long since you have heard an electric sitar played by a wild woman? I thought so! Well come see and hear Gabby La La with her eight piece group that has been described as a rainbow lemonade handstand with a happy ending! Sounds too cool to miss! Several well-known local bands that will be performing again will be Adam Burns and his Bootstrap Circus. Adam says playing at the Yosemite Music Festival is like being at home with friends; you can be very relaxed, play what you want and enjoy the whole scene. Andy Roberts will also be there banjo picking with his Mountain Men Collective. Always a fun group! Two regionally known reggae bands will be here also with Green Machine playing late Saturday night and A La Lune playing mid-afternoon on Saturday.

Bring your blankets, your lawn chairs, beach chairs and whatever else you need on Friday afternoon, camp for free and enjoy the music from 1:15 p.m. on on Saturday, July 9th. Good food, beer and ice cream will be available. Day passes are $20 for each day if you are not camping.
