Ceramics
Fran moved from a career in the business world to a new life in ceramics after studying with Ann Mendershausen at Merced College a number of years ago.
“Throwing tradition aside is what I like best as I explore the world of ceramics. I experiment in pit fire, horsehair, glazed and raku finishes. As clay is an organic material, I always hope that my pieces speak to people as they hold them”, Fran said.
Her work is represented by several galleries and is held by private collectors in the United States and Europe.
