April 21, 2024 - Alturas, California - Modoc County Sheriff’s Office officials report on Thursday, April 18, 2024, Modoc County Sheriff's deputies arrested Gianluca Nunzio Faia, 21, and Esther Raque Kaminetzky, 20, out of Alturas.

The two were identified as possible suspects in a burglary that was reported to the sheriff's office on Wednesday, April 17, 2024, in the Modoc Recreational Estates. Subsequent search warrants were served where deputies recovered stolen firearms and tools.

Gianluca Nunzio Faia and Esther Raque Kaminetzky are being held in the Modoc County Jail for burglary, grand theft, conspiracy, vandalism and evading a peace officer. Bail is currently set at $50,000. The two are expected to be arraigned on their charges on Monday April 22, 2024, in the Modoc Superior Court.
