Dear Editor,

I have been grateful for John Carrier's leadership on the Board of Supervisors. When he was first elected, I had several meetings with him on the Williamson Act and other County governance topics. I was pleased with his willingness to actively listen and contribute to the discussion. As a person who works in the high tech world and with my own start-up in the clean-tech economy, small business, technology and the 21st century economy are very important to me. I have tremendous confidence in John Carrier and trust him to fully research any issues impacting these areas before making a decision. While I have not agreed with all of his decisions, his judgement and long-term planning are commendable. He is respectful of the voters and the office of Supervisor. No matter what district a Supervisor is from, his or her vote impacts the entire county. They have one fifth a say in how our tax dollars are spent. John Carrier has proven himself as a conscientious leader. I fully endorse him and recommend voters re-elect him as County Supervisor from District 5.
